Victorian charm with warm hospitality
The lodge exudes historical charm, and the hosts, Nick and Silvana, welcomed us like family. Breakfast was a delight with a variety of options, including fresh pastries.
The bathrooms need some updates. not quite in line with the overall elegance, which left us wanting a more modern touch.

The location alongside the canal provides a beautiful setting for scenic walks to nearby attractions, and the spacious dining room offers a great area for family gatherings. I found the comfortable lounge area perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring.
Some rooms suffered from chilly temperatures, and there were limited coffee-making facilities available outside the rooms, which felt inconvenient. The grounds could definitely use a bit of attention, and the lack of full-length mirrors in individual rooms was a bit frustrating for getting ready. I noticed that the outdoor areas aren't as well maintained, which detracted from the overall aesthetic vibe.

Had an amazing getaway with friends! We loved exploring the canal, especially the scenic views on our two-mile walk. Nick and Silvana made us feel right at home and offered helpful tips for nearby activities. The spacious dining room was great for our group meals. Highly recommend this spot for a fun and relaxing stay!
While everything was mostly great, the outside grounds could use a little more care, which was a minor letdown.

Charming stay with lovely hosts
We had a wonderful time in a cozy room that was both spacious and clean. Nick and Silvana made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality, and the breakfast spread was a delightful combination of fresh pastries and great coffee. Just a short walk from the canal, it was perfect for evening strolls. A full-length mirror in the room would be a nice addition for getting ready.
